Our Eco-packaging Promise

We try our best to only every use eco-friendly packaging with any orders we send out. That means we actively try and avoid including any plastics or materials that are not biodegradable or cannot be safely disposed of with your household recycling collections.

For your peace of mind, the packaging we use is outlined below:

Backing Cards and Postcards

All the backing cards we attach your pins to are printed by a UK-based print company that only uses paper stock that is either recycled or sourced from a certified sustainable source. Most orders will also include an A6 'thank you' postcard printed by the same company on recycled paper.

Biodegradable PLA bags

Each pin comes in a clear protective presentation bag. Despite looking like plastic, these bags are actually made from vegetable starch and are 100% biodegradable. They can be added to a compost bin or garden, or simply included with a food waste/compostable recycling collection.

Jiffy Envelopes

We use Jiffy Green padded envelopes for most of our orders. These envelopes are made from recycled paper and are lined with paper fibres for padding. They can be added to paper recycling collections or shredded and added to compost bins.

Postage labels

The labels we affix to the envelopes are made from paper but unfortunately they use standard print toner made from polyester which is not biodegradable. If you are composting the envelopes then we recommend removing the labels and disposing of them separately in paper recycling. However, we are looking into options for alternative eco-friendly toners.

Recycled tape

For a little extra security we add a strip of tape to the back of the envelopes, just to ensure they stay stuck during transit. The tape can be disposed of along with the envelope, either with a paper recycling collection, or added to a compost bin.
